Today is supposed to hit a high of 116 degrees...WHOA!
From what I could see while surfing the web; according to the Maricopa County temperature and rainfall statistics by month it was this hot back in August of 1972, 1975. It got even hotter in the 90's in June and July. That scares me; as a native from Hawaii, I never imagined ever experiencing this kind of extreme weather. the winter before last; I was in North Dakota and it was -65 degrees. I thought to myself; how do people survive in this kind of weather, but I guess we get by. talk about going from one extreme to another. I don't know about you, but I'd definitely take heat rash over frostbite ANY DAY! As hot as it may get here; I LOVE THIS PLACE!
