Superbowl 2015 its only 8 months away, some things you may want to plan ahead

It may only be 8 months away but Superbowl 2015 is coming back to Phoenix, the valley of the sun. After last years brutally cold weather, which was hard on the fans and the players, the NFL has opted to return to a sunnier disposition in Phoenix. Having the superbowl hosted in our city is a great opportunity for local businesses and vendors, as it brings $500 million dollars to the host city. Even if you missed out on the Superbowl ticket lottery that ended on June 1st, 2014 you can still participate in all the pregame festivities at the going on throughout the city. Lots of people will be tailgating out at Univeristy of Phoenix Stadium, Glendale, AZ so make sure if you are tailgating to get your parking tickets early, it is sure to be sold out. The DUI task force will be out in full force near the stadium, downtown and will be having checkpoints throughout the city. If you are new to the area, and will be going to the game, call scottsdale car service for any airport shuttles, for transportation to and from the game. You may want to make your hotel and transportation arrangements early in advance as hotel rooms are sure to be booked and completely sold out. you take care of the fun we will take care of the driving. So whether you are a local, trying to check out all the festivities or going to the game here is a few things you may need to consider.

Will it snow?

While we have seen snow in the desert a few times, I seriously doubt it. Typical weather for this time of year would indicate that it will probably be in the 60s at game time. If it is colder, you might need a jacket for outdoor tailgate parties and other local activities (will you be going to the Waste Management Phoenix Open while you are in town?). When you are in the stadium, you'll be in climate-controlled comfort if it is chilly outside.

Where is the stadium?

It's in Glendale, Arizona which is in the northwest part of the Valley of the Sun. Here is a map and directions to University of Phoenix Stadium. The stadium is NOT accessible by light rail.

How do I get tickets?

Typically, a specific number of tickets are allotted to Arizona Cardinals season ticket holders. As soon as the lottery process for obtaining tickets is announced, I will post it here.

If you are not selected to receive tickets in the lottery, chances are that the only way to purchase Phoenix Super Bowl tickets will be through a ticket broker, like TicketsNow.com (Buy Direct) or Ticket Liquidator (Buy Direct), or from scalpers/ticket exchanges. Be careful about buying tickets from unauthorized ticket sellers!

I'll have tickets to the 2015 Super Bowl -- where should I stay?

Here are some recommendations for hotels. They are listed in the order of closest to the stadium first.

Many of the other festivals and parties leading up to the Super Bowl will likely take place in downtown Phoenix, unlike 2008 where they were more spread out around town. For that reason, your first or second choice of hotels should probably be downtown Phoenix or downtown Tempe, where METRO Light Rail can transport you around the downtown area.

All of these are accessible by METRO Light Rail.

Super Bowl Central
A new feature since Arizona last hosted a Super Bowl in 2008, Super Bowl Central will feature live performances by national recording artists and local musical talent, community groups and schools, football themed activities, and beer and wine gardens. Activities will cover 5th Street to First Avenue and Jefferson Street to Monroe Street.
The NFL Experience is a separate festive football-oriented daytime event with kids’ football clinics, interactive football games and autograph sessions. It will take place at the Phoenix Convention Center.
NFL House, a VIP hospitality headquarters, will be located at CityScape.
NFL Media Center will be located at the Phoenix Convention Center.
NFL Headquarters will be at the Hyatt Regency Phoenix.

There's an App for That

Glendale Convention & Visitors Bureau has launched a new app featuring deals and discounts from Glendale and West Valley attractions through push notifications and posts. The app includes a cool smartphone punch card that allows visitors to show their smartphone to participating businesses for even more deals, discounts and specials. Other app features include locator maps showing restaurants, shops and attractions in the area; social media walls to encourage visitors to share their experiences; and photo galleries and itinerary ideas for the traveler. As game day gets closer, the app will also feature a special section just for game information, featuring FAQs, specially-themed discounts and deals, hotel information, parking info, game facts and more. To download the app, search for Glendale CVB.

Can I be a volunteer?
The Arizona Super Bowl XLIX Host Committee will be recruiting and training thousands of volunteers for the various events surrounding the Super Bowl as well as for the halftime show and other game day activities. Most volunteers will not get to see the game, but they will be a part of a grand event showcasing our city and our state.
