In addition to the fast-paced tournament action, sports fans can keep busy with family-friendly activities like the Black Light Welcome Dance Party -- come dressed to glow and enjoy games, music, body painting, dancing and snacks. From what I could see while surfing the web; according to the Maricopa County temperature and rainfall statistics by month it was this hot back in August of 1972, 1975.  It got even hotter in the 90's in June and July.   That scares me; as a native from Hawaii, I never imagined ever experiencing this kind of extreme weather.  the winter before last; I was in North Dakota and it was -65 degrees. I thought to myself; how do people survive in this kind of weather, but I guess we get by.  talk about going from one extreme to another.  I don't know about you, but I'd definitely take heat rash over frostbite ANY DAY!
