Super Bowl XLIX will be played on Feb. 1, 2015 at the University of Phoenix Stadium, a state-of-the-art facility in Glendale, Arizona, and also home of the Arizona Cardinals Fiesta Bowl. The NFL Pro Bowl will take place at the same stadium on January 25, 2015, one week before the Super Bowl. That is a separate ticketed event, as is the official tailgate party before the Pro Bowl.
Unlike the Valley's 2008 game, major activities, including the NFL Experience and other fan favorites, will be concentrated in Phoenix instead of multiple locations. More than 1 million people are expected to flock to downtown Phoenix for Super Bowl festivities. Super Bowl Central will feature live performances by national recording artists and local musical talent, community groups and schools, football themed activities, and beer and wine gardens.
